First of all, we want to thank all the volunteers that make our sale possible, the friends of Bering who work every week of the year to pick up donations, price, pack and unpack, members of Bering who volunteer to work the sale, and those who stay after the sale to pack up and clean up so we can have church on Sunday morning.
It takes a full week to set up for the sale and a full week to get the church back in order after the sale. From the first pick up to the last day of clean up, it takes about 100 volunteers—an estimated 3,308 volunteer hours—over a six-month period. This does not include the extra time, beyond the call of duty, put in by the church staff. Over a trhree-day period, Thurs, Friday, and Saturday, the Spring sale took in about $29,000. Thanks to everyone; we couldn’t do it without you!
