Service of Word & Table

The worship of God, including holy communion, takes place at Bering Memorial every Sunday at 8:30 a.m. and 10:50 a.m. Sunday School and special classes start at 9:45 a.m. Special worship services are also held throughout the church year. Our music ministry and opportunities to assist in worship leadership enhance our corporate worship.

Liturgy: "The Work of the People"
We invite lay persons to help plan and lead worship as lectors, crucifers, acolytes, prayer leaders, ushers, greeters and in other positions. Altar guild members prepare the chancel for services and bake communion bread. Let the chairperson of the worship committee know of your interest. Training sessions are held on a regular basis.

Please join us after each service for coffee, tea and fellowship.

Child Care
Complimentary child care for children (infants to 4 years old) is available every Sunday from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in Room 119

Large-Print Bulletins
Large-print Bulletins are available for most services. If you would benefit from this service, please ask an usher for one.

Bering is located inside the Loop, close to downtown at 1440 Harold Street. It is 1 block south of Westheimer on the north, 5 blocks west of Montrose on the east, 2 blocks east of Dunlavy on the west, and 3 blocks north of Alabama on the south.
